- This digital STEM comic book is aligned with education standards and includes an Indigenous-Inclusive perspective. Using these digital tools teachers have an opportunity to introduce specialized STEM topics in their classroom in a fun and entertaining manner that is culturally cognizant. We believe this is an opportunity to provide tools that can improve Native American (NA) student engagement and success in STEM. Characters in the comic book will take scientific journeys learning important STEM concepts along the way and indigenous-language opportunities will be woven in throughout. The comic illustrations are the product of the hard work of one of the teammates who is himself Yavapai-Apache. Using resources available at the University of Arizona, we will tie in important cultural and indigenous language.
